Two singer songwriters with a bent for Americana, Kansas & Rye found each other in a small bar in Arrowtown, New Zealand, to the tune of Sympathy For The Devil. Ryan had forgotten the words, until along came Kansas to help him out. Following that stellar introduction, they found they had a mutual love for hats and old time dress sense. With an undeniable spark, soon they began trading in songs. Kansas & Rye have a similar vocal range, which can make for a natural harmony between them that is both close and romantic in feel.
