Nearby Liars

Nearby Liars is a Fort Collins-based indie-rock band founded in 2015 by singer-songwriter Riley Sbrana. Their sound is influenced by rock bands such as Foxing, and Sunny Day Real Estate, as well as indie-folk acts like Bon Iver and Mimicking Birds. In November 2017, the band released it’s sophomore EP titled “Everything is Replaced”. The six-song, full-band release was in some ways a diversion from their 2016 EP “Unlearning”: a bare bones collection of Sbrana’s solo work. Although sonically disparate, Sbrana’s close attention to lyrics and melody remains consistent throughout both releases. The band has been quietly working on new music for the past few months, and is looking forward to heading into the studio in 2019.
