The Midnight Disease

The Midnight Disease is singer-songwriter Brenden K Jones's major magical working. Armed originally with nothing but a tape machine and acoustic guitar and inspired by lofi artists such as Jandek, Jones retreated to his mother's garage to transmute city life, horror, literature, and his struggles with mental illness into a positive story telling message. Along the way The Midnight Disease has expanded its musical palette, often times with the help of friends, bringing in synths and drum machines to an otherwise acoustic sound. Jones hopes to continue the tradition of writers such as Craig Finn, John Darnielle, John K Sampson, Lou Reed, and Elvis Costello.
