Deva Yoder

A One-Woman-Record-Label, independent artist and DIY musician/producer Deva (Day-vah) Yoder, is a singer-songwriter based in Denver, CO. Named by Westword Magazine as one of Denver's Top Ten Badass Women Dominating the Music Scene, her acoustic guitar holds down the Throwback-Rock/Folk/Americana reminiscent of Aimee Mann, Shawn Colvin, and Sam Phillips, with the lyrical depth of inspiration from authors like Rilke and Gibran. Community oriented, her weekly instagram videos encourage creatives that may need a little boost in their artistic endeavors. Her side project, Folks of Lore, with her friend, El Javi, creates music meant for TV, movies and commercials. Sometimes a little alt-country or 60’s psychedelic, Deva’s lyrics are raw and poetic; her voice is strong and entrancing, accompanied by her glittering acoustic riffs.
