Arthur S and The Effects

Arthur S and the Effects is the full band incarnation of solo act Arthur S, an amalgamation of dramatic fever-dreamed rock and roll from Denver, CO.

Arthur S and The Effects strive to play focused rock and roll with splashes of country and r&b, all put through the dynamic range of colors modern psychedelic rock has to offer. Calling on lyrics that evoke visions of Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, and Joe Strummer, the songs are meant to be reflections, almost tone poems, on the forces that shape who we are and who we are destined to become in the modern world. Following up on the releases ‘Born Anew’ and ‘Barnberner’ earlier this spring, our new release ‘Ballad of the Queen City Stomper’ evokes the stronger groove and psych elements of the band with a tale of someone in search of a moment of enlightenment through the power of art in the confusion of their life.

After a successful run of shows around the Denver metro area and places such as The Black Buzzard, Lost Lake, and Squire Lounge, Arthur S and the Effects are looking to bring their fever dream of rock and roll to more audiences within the Mile High City and beyond. The Effects aim to provide a raucous and well crafted live set that is meant to excite and engage an audience, not just by playing fast and hard for the whole set, but by trying to take the audience through the multiple moods conjured by our songs and leave them entertained and released, even if for a brief moment. Much like the 60s r&b reveus of the past and some of the members times playing in Apollo Shortwave, we aim to leave it all on the stage for the audience and ourselves.
