The Morning Drive

Since their formation in 2014, The Morning Drive have followed a simple formula: fun on stage equals fun for fans. Their attitude is if you’re at the show, then you’re part of the family. And if you can sing or play, don’t be surprised if they summon you to the stage. 2018 was a big year for The Morning Drive, who released their first full-length album, headlined two packed-house shows at two story Fresno venue Fulton 55, and expanded into the Bay Area at venues such as Hotel Utah Saloon and Brick & Mortar in SF. In their September 2018 issue, Fresno Flyer wrote on their live performance, “there was no mistaking the amount of fun they were all having – the energy, the enthusiasm was palpable. They performed like a cohesive unit all riding the same wave.” In 2019, The Morning Drive went international; they piled into a couple vans and played in Rosarito, Mexico at Colectivo Surf - a friendly rooftop bar serving craft beers and fresh seafood along with the occasional Mezcal-soaked scorpion. This inspired the band to purchase a bus of their own for a big year of touring in 2020, which unfortunately went mostly unused due to the pandemic. Nonetheless, the crew took advantage of the off-time to craft new tunes in pursuit of fresh recordings and a reinvigorated live performance. With family, friends and coworkers based in Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins, Colorado is their next stop starting with an April 2022 wedding gig for some old college friends. Their heartfelt mixture of funk, blues-rock and folk invites friends to gather and build memories that etch themselves into the most nostalgic recesses of the heart and mind. With roots in California, Colorado and beyond, when The Morning Drive sound the horn, they bring the people and a good time.
