Creighton Evans

Creighton Evans is a Singer Songwriter out of Northern Colorado. Creighton has been performing music since 2016 and writing it is for as long as he can remember. His first performance earned him 3rd place in the 2016 Lambkins Got Talent Talent Show at the school he graduated from, Fort Collins High School. After pursuing athletics for most of his highschool career, Creighton began creating music his senior year by rapping with friends and taking poems he had written and turning them into songs. It was also at this time that Creighton taught himself guitar through Youtube tutorials and expanded his songwriting capabilities immensely. Since than Evans has performed at various venues throughout Fort Collins such as The Art Lab, Avogadros, The Artery, DIY venues, Walrus Ice Cream, etc. He has opened for artists such as Native Station, Mysitc I, Violet Visionaries, Bitter Suns, and countless other bands performing in the Fort Collins area. Though he himself is not in a band he has collaborated with many local artists for his own solo work as well as featuring on various projects over the span of 2016-2022. Creighton's first acoustic releases have since been deleted off of streaming platforms though they are what introduced him into the Fort Collins music scene. These deleted acoustic tracks were an indicatory experiment towards entering the realm of music that Evans has solidified himself within. These songs are set to be remastered and re-recorded with professional equipment and sound editing. Since than Creighton has released two singles that are available everywhere, though his arsenal of music expands far beyond these two single releases. His first official single "You're Going To Make Me Cry," was written for his wife Elizabeth and was released on her 23rd birthday January 26th 2021. The 7-minute-long electronic ballad pays homage to her love of 80's styled music while also infusing a unique flare of personal experimentalism. His second release 'Reverse Office Space'' was released December 28th, 2021. This single, much different than his first, uses elements of grunge area metal and blends them with personifying lyricism and 90's hi-hop samples. Wes Archer, head of animation for popular TV shows such as Rick and Morty, King of the Hill, The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, etc and personal idol of Creighton, created the album artwork after being commissioned by Evans and liking the sound, energy, and ideals of the song. The song revolves around living everyday like its the best day of your life and following your dreams to no end or hinderance. Trevor Lamperse of Almost Extinct, Peaceful, Goggles, and Bitter Suns plays drums on the track while Evans sings and plays all other heard instruments. Raymond Suny, the vocalist of Fort Collins band The Sickly Hecks, mixed and mastered the single. Evans also recently has founded Red Theater Media, a marketing agency hoping to organically increase the audience of local creatives by investing in local artists and sharing their content on as many virtual platforms as possible. Creighton is known for his acoustic performances where he plays unreleased material that has an infectious positive response from audiences.
