A former American Idol contestant and Division-I collegiate wrestler, Stevey is an independent touring singer-songwriter based in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Stevey’s sophomore album 'ABOVE' released in 2019 featuring singles by the creek, find your place,and altitude: “This collection serves as a sequel to my 'beneath' EP. While those songs explored the depths of inadequacy within myself, ‘ABOVE’ speaks to the grand expansion and ascension I experienced through that dark, scary journey inward. We all have buried guilt, shame and trauma that expresses as fear or self-loathing. The work is in meeting it head-on with compassion and love. When we do this, we can integrate our unconscious shadow with our conscious light, and ultimately, find some kind of wholeness,“ he explains. “I’m committed to creative endeavors that amplify my own wholeness in self-love, so that I can express authentically enough to activate others to do the same.” His debut album 'beneath' released in 2018.
Stevey has multiple music projects beyond his solo work, including the quartet Stevey & the Nix and his newest project moonsmith, best described as “moody folk-pop.” He is often supported by the sultry vocals of Meredith LaMarche (of La Marche), as well as multi-instrumentalist and vocalist David J. Henning.
