Violet Wild Collective

Violet Wild is a rock-leaning indie folk artist based in northern Colorado, where the prairie meets the mountains like certainty running up against mystery.

Violet learned Simon & Garfunkel out of songbooks as a child, and played Kansas bass lines on the sousaphone in her college marching band. She’s developed a style of high desert folk that also evokes the pop and rock that shaped Gen-Xers. For the last several years, she’s been performing with bands in the live music scene along the Front Range. From small brewery gigs to the main stage at Tico Time in Aztec, NM, she loves to perform, with her radiant vocals, edgy acoustic guitar, and seeker’s heart. She performs solo as a singer-songwriter and also with the Violet Wild Collective, featuring Deb Bryant on drums and Rob Myers on bass and vocals.

Violet's debut single Steal my Body, released 10/27/2023,  is a tribute to Gram Parsons.  It retells the epic heist from LAX and transfer of his remains to Joshua Tree in 1973. Her next release will be Devil Horse,  a love song to the iconic statue that welcomes travelers to the Denver International Airport. She says, “This song is about realizing that in spite of everything, flying into DIA means I’m coming home!”
