Pomegranate Sounds
Pomegranate Sounds is a multi-national (France/USA) record label, DJ crew, and a Colorado-based traditional hand-built wooden sound system. The latter is owned and operated by crew member The Groove Thief, who is a DJ, music journalist, and KGNU Community Radio host (Reggae Bloodlines, Reggae Transfusion, Dub Palace, etc.).
Pomegranate Sounds is known for its dub-centric vision of dance music and has booked and supported a wide range of artists including Alpha Steppa, Kampira, Vibronics, and Yaadcore. The record label's debut vinyl record, the Riots 12" ft. Vixen Sound, was released in 2023; recent Colorado gigs include Asher Brewing, Bear Creek Distillery, and Eldora Mountain; recent festival bookings include Prairie Pothole (North Dakota), Nestival (Saint-Laurent-de-Neste, France), and Wildflower (Colorado).
