Barstool Messiah
Barstool Messiah is a hard rock band that was founded in 2001 and has put out four studio albums including our recent release Whiskey Baptismal that has been described as having a "brash soulfulness that really pushes it beyond any obvious influences" by Tom Murphy of Birdy Magazine. Frequently joined by local blues singer Erica Brown, our sound is a mix of Detroit proto punk and blues, with a heavy influence of punk and metal, with thoughtful and literary quality of lyrics brought by multiple-novel author and lead singer Nick Plumber.
