Richard Naviasky

Born and raised on the diverse, interesting, and sometimes dangerous streets of Baltimore, Richard Naviasky went from restaurant work to grunt work in boat yards to sailing across the Atlantic Ocean before moving north to NYC and stumbling into a career as an FDNY firefighter (just 7 months before the awful events of 9/11/2001). After retiring from the FDNY (during the waning days of Covid), Richard coaxed his family into an SUV and drove them to Fort Collins, where he now resides. Richard shares his unique perspective through poetry, cartoons and (of course) songs. He has created a robust presence in the FoCo open mic scene over the past several years, earning the respect of many wonderfully talented friends..
