Logan Chan
Logan Chan is a Denver multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who explores indie-pop soundscapes with jazz influences.
He grew up in Superior, CO learning classical piano but slacked on practicing as a teenager. Inspired by jazz and bossa nova musicians such as Erroll Garner, Duke Ellington, and Antonio Carlos Jobim, he started practicing again on a $100 piano that he brought back to his college apartment. Under different stage names (such as Vic Chin), he has played jazz piano with small ensembles across Denver for the past few years. Recently, he has performed at Dazzle and on a live on-air performance at KUVO. In 2021, he released his debut EP Crow in the City, which was recorded during the pandemic with local musicians BK Kahn, Michael Lenssen, and Nicolas Killeen. Logan looks forward to releasing more original music and collaborating on recordings and performances. He draws inspiration from Denver's Capitol Hill neighborhood in addition to his experience as a Chinese-American creative in Colorado.
