DESASOCIADO is the solo project of Daniel Casanova: musician, producer and co-founder of the Colombian indie label Tres Incendios Records

During 2018, after relocating to the U.S., he published the songs that would make up DESASOCIADO’S debut album, UNO, where predominate electronic bass-lines, synthesizers with dark melodies and a whispering voice singing in Spanish and English.

Since then, Desasociado has put out more than 40 tracks that represent his sonic exploration. Using after-punk, alternative and electronic genres as influence, his music falls into the spectrum of cold-wave, new-wave, dark-wave, synth-pop, post-punk.

Despite being away from stages for a few years, Desasociado has participated in relevant events on the underground scene. Like Bogotá’s Ansia Festival, supporting Colombian dark-punk pioneers Sinestésicos, Russian post-punk revivalists Human Tetris and U.S. touring acts like Void Vision (PA) and Institute (TX).
Upon moving to the U.S. he participated in San Antonio’s gothic festival San la Muerte, sharing stage with national and international outfits such as Fatamorgana (BCN), Twin Tribes (TX), Hide (IL), Altar de Fey (CA) and Nox Novacula (WA).
His studio work has been featured on independent music blogs such as joclaverie.com and whitelight-whiteheat.com, as well as promoting channels/collectives like Post-Modern Soundscape, OnlyYesterday1969, Guitars and Sound, Shoegaze Club among others.
Desasociado’s reappearance is now taking place in Denver CO, his base city, supporting touring acts like Nuovo Testamento and Tassel, as well as participating on local events with bands like Voight and Sell Farm at venues like Glob, Hi-Dive and Oriental Theater.
