Hurricane Dave and the Storm Chasers

I grew in Northern NJ 20 miles outside NYC and was open to many musical genres / performances.

I became a drummer in the Morris County Militia at age 9. We marched in many musters and drum offs!

I was handed a chromatic harmonica at age 18 by a friend who said you are very musical. I stayed in the closet for 19 years. Once I sat in with a band and got a standing ovation. I met a guitarist once at a party after bringing my harmonicas and they turned off the stereo.

When I came to Colorado in 1994, I was asked by a neighbor to sit in with Thunder Mountain for a benefit concert at Tres Hombres in Woodland Park CO. During my second solo on my second song our lead singer walked up behind me and said "I don't know who you F you are, but you're in this band. We were the house band at Cowboys in Colorado Spring from 1995 to 2001. We opened for many National Acts and went on tour with few. We had our own material and were offered a record deal by Capital Records. It was a poor offer! We turned it down.

I also became a alternate musician for the High Trail Riders at this time.

Some in our band retired so we all moved on never breaking up.

I went onto becoming a sideman for a National Blues Act that performed here and in Europe doing two tours over there. We came out with some original music on my label Smoke Tone Records LLC winning a Global Music award for Resolution Blues. www.smoketonerecords.com

In 2017 I heard my own music and moved onto this project Blooze BlowDown. I record at Prodigal Production Studios in Parker with Jason Hickman my Producer and Engineer. We co-wrote some songs on the cd and received great accolades on the record from Jazz and Blues Magazine on my website. www.hurricandaveandthestormchasers.com

My music video was nominated in the top ten for Blues Video of the year by Blues Blast Magazine. It was done by Aztec Media and shot in Capitol Hill and Ivy Wilde School in Colorado Springs. We lost to Eric Gales and Joe Bonamassa. I congratulated them and said I would get them next time. We all laughed.

I was named one of the top harmonica players in Colorado by the Colorado Blues Society in 2023.

Robert Bonfiglio the classical chromatic harmonica player is my teacher. Yes, I am classically trained for the Blooze! LOL!

The Band is Hot! Hire us! We knock them out loaded and blow the back off it! Check us out on my Facebook Page because the Band page got hacked! DANG IT!

I can't say much more. We just lay it down.
