Better Days Ahead

Better Days Ahead is a new project dedicated to celebrating the music of Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays. The group features seasoned jazz musicians: Tim Gauthier on guitar, Chuck Landgraf on drums, Alan Sparks on bass, and Randy Miotke on keyboards . The band was formed in the fall of 2024 following a jam session where the members found themselves immersed in the high energy music of these two influential and beloved jazz artists. The name Better Days Ahead is inspired by the title of one of Pat Metheny’s most uplifting and brilliant compositions, which is a highlight of the group’s repertoire.
