The ideology that the blues can be transformed yet again was created in the form of DETROIT TROUBLE in 2015 by Kidd Lightning the guitarist/front man and creator of the band. Influenced with a thirst for blues greats from John Lee Hooker and Howlin' Wolf to rock kings like Van Halen and even with a taste for 90s hip hop and 2000s rap, the band is all about the groove and emotion of the everyday working man. All three current members and some former members of the band have all worked in skilled trades and blue collar jobs to make ends meet while pursuing they're dream through the band while relating heavily to they're loyal local followers. They feel it's only fair to give back to those who serve our industry, our country, and on the front lines of America and beyond. We live through our fans and they live through us!
