Trouble's Braids
Trouble’s Braids is a four-piece band from Colorado’s Front Range that creates rowdy alt Americana with teeth. They have been featured artists at Boulder Theater, Rock Inn Estes Park, Roots Music Festival, Gold Hill, Globe Hall, The Atrium, and Stone Cottage Studios, plus have appeared on KGNU and radio KRFC numerous times.
Trouble’s Braids combines poignant lyricism, rich female and male harmonies, and great hooks with an unflinching curiosity about the dark and hidden corners of the human experience, all with a wink and a nod that invites the audience to come play. The band pairs toe-tapping grooves with poetic, soul-stirring writing and just the right amount of edge.
Their influences are broad and deep, drawing inspiration from classic songwriters like Bob Dylan and Lucinda Williams, as well as more contemporary acts like Big Thief, Mitski, Neutral Milk Hotel, PJ Harvey, and Tom Waits.
