Color Me Fatigued
Based in Fort Collins, Colorado, Color Me Fatigued is a powerhouse indie rock trio with stylings akin to the late 90s emo and hardcore scenes. Catchy vocal melodies, explosive breakdowns, and intimate passages define their complex and dynamic songs.
After the popular Fort Collins band Hospital Socks disbanded, singer and guitarist April Crews began searching for musicians to take on a more sonically adventurous project. Jacob Godbey, who had recently moved from Montana, was introduced to Crews by the owners of a local record store. The two began rehearsing together and soon played a show as a two-piece under the temporary name Mr. Socks.
The band eventually settled on the name Color Me Fatigued - a lyric from Art is Hard by Cursive. Needing a bass player for an upcoming show, April made an offer that future bassist John Zook couldn't refuse: “If anyone can learn our songs by next week, I'll give them $20.”
Zook took on the challenge and successfully played the band's first show with barely a week to prepare. Now confident with the lineup, the band quickly began working on new material and landing more shows in their region.
Color Me Fatigued’s first single, Cigarette Burns, was self-recorded in Zook’s old trailer in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and mixed/mastered by local DIYer, Aspen Abrahamson. The band plans to release a full-length album in 2025.
