Castells

For over 20 years, Federico Garcia Castells has composed music for acoustic ensembles, orchestra, and electroacoustic media. Trio Ollin (Mexico City), NewEar Ensemble (Kansas City), The Symphony Orchestras of Mexico and Queretaro, among others, have performed his pieces. Since the 1980s, Mr. Garcia Castells has played drums in indie/alternative bands in Mexico and Canada.

Since 2022, Mr. Garcia Castells resides in the Northern Colorado’s Front Range area, working on his most recent project, “The Mile High Spectrum", this electroacoustic piece with live electronic percussion is based on everyday sounds collected throughout the City of Denver.
