Americana artist and soulful singer songwriter, Jenny Shawhan has a seasoned resume of performances including the Denver Broncos Super Bowl Parade, USPA Polo Event Aspen, the coveted writer's round at The Bluebird Cafe Nashville. Entertaining crowds from dive bars to country clubs, she has opened for Colorado's hall of fame Hazel Miller, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, and blues prodigy Austin Miller among many others. She and her band have been live guests on KRFC's Live at Lunch, featured in Voyage Denver magazine, and interviewed on Andy Sydow's podcast “Middle Class Rock Star”. Her latest releases have topped the charts on Chris K’s Colorado Playlist.
July 2021 saw the release of her debut album of which Associated Press boasted, “Don’t Be Afraid” showcases the Denver-based Shawhan’s alto, a commanding, captivating instrument that conveys both strength and vulnerability.” - Steve Wine. In August 2023 Shawhan celebrated her second album “You Got the Magic” by headlining a show at the Soiled Dove underground. Both albums are produced by award winning John Macy (Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Big Head Todd and the Monsters). She has released four singles including “Trouble Finds Me” produced by Peer Music LA’s Richard Harris (Billboard No. 1 EDM hit -Cole Plante, Hollywood Records). Performing across the front range and beyond, Shawhan adds, “I’m really grateful for the music I can call my own. And as I keep going, everything just gets better.
