Seiren
Seiren is a Denver original punk, ska, reggae artist, that utilizes music to advocate for women's rights, equal opportunity, racial justice, and freedom for all. Her writing is derrived from her experience as a first responder, where she witnessed the direct effects of our dysfunctional and corrupt healthcare system. As well as how lack of education, means to basic necessities, and access to resources, entrapped many Americans in poverty or homelessness. Her writing comments on the burdens and stuggles of the average American. From the fight for reproductive rights and the impossible standards women are held to, to the crippling debt, religious oppression, and undeniable racism that plagues the country today. Using her voice to provoke conversation, call out the unjust, and question the morals of our capitalistic society, the urges everyone to think not only of what is best for themselves but what's best for Americans as a whole. Her goal is to create a following that will allow her to raise money for charities that aid in women's reproductive care, and charities that supply children in low income areas with educational materials. She believes that everyone deserves to live a quality life, with the pursuit of happiness, and aquire the "American Dream," whatever that may be to each individual.
