Sam is a talented acoustic musician known for his soulful performances.
With a unique blend of folk, reggae, RnB, and contemporary influences, he can bring a refreshing and intimate sound to any occasion. Upbeat guitar, coupled with rich, emotive vocals, creates a warm, captivating atmosphere.
Born in Fort Collins, Colorado to an artistically encouraging family environment, Sam was inspired to become a musician from an early age.
His love of guitar, singing and writing began to establish and he was able to start performing locally at the age of 14. After high school, Sam left the foothills to compete on NBC’s “The Voice” capturing notable recognition for his rendition of Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song”. This performance earned him a spot on the show as part of team Adam granting the opportunity to work with professional vocal coaches and stars such as Adam Levine and Mary J. Blige.
Upon returning to Colorado, Sam created the prominent Fort Collins band known as Write Minded, whose high energy performances and unique blending of genres quickly gained acclaim in the local scene. With two full albums and several singles in their discography, Write Minded has performed countless shows across the front range and can be found on any major streaming platform.
Drawing inspiration from life’s simple moments and the emotional power of music, Sam crafts and selects songs that connect with listeners on a personal level. His music can also be streamed on all platforms under the name “samoo.”.
