Devon Parker

Born in Fort Collins, Colorado, Devon Parker has been performing and creating music with a deeply rooted passion and spirit for nearly two decades. Her style contains elements of R&B, Funk, Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Hip Hop, Reggae/World, Blues, and Electronica. Her Childhood spent surrounded by a family of musicians made it clear that Jazz, Motown and the Blues were in her blood. Devon’s father, a touring keyboard player, performed for many years under the Warner Brothers-Reprise label. Devon’s Uncle, was a trumpeter and arranger for Woody Herman, Wayne Cochran and toured the world playing with Blood, Sweat and Tears. With her ability to draw from her life experiences and her musical roots, Devon Parker delivers an inimitably honest voice. Her influences include Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Sarah Vaughan, Prince, Jill Scott, D'Angelo, Aretha Franklin, & Kim Burrell.
She is currently the front woman for The Nu-Classics, a funk Organ trio who has shared the stage with George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars, Snarky Puppy, Victor Wooten, The Pimps of Joytime, The Motet and many others. Recently she performed as a guest singer with Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe at The Fillmore, The Ogden, Bear Creek Music Festival and Tour De Fat.  In the Summer/Fall of 2011 she had the opportunity to tour with the West Coast Hip Hop innovator Del The Funky Homosapien (Deltron 3030, Gorillaz, Heiroglyphics). 
In early 2014 Analog Son, a Denver based Funk band invited her to join as lead singer. Originally a studio project put together by Jordan Linit and Joshua Fairman, the concept of the band was to record with as many musicians visiting in town as possible. Artists like Ivan Neville (Dumpstaphunk), and Raphael Pierra (Janelle Monae), recorded parts to the latest self titled album released in the Summer of 2014. Analog Son has since shared the stage with Trombone Shorty, The Funky Meters, Maceo Parker, and many others. To date they have now released 4 albums of original music featuring a wide variety of performers, and opened for String Cheese Incident at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in the summer of 2018, a lifelong dream for everyone.
