mud & marrow

mud & marrow’s eco-feminist fusion of joy and rage calls us all to creative action. A folk/world band of four Denver-based women, mud & marrow's music is influenced by decades-long study of West African percussion and Taiko drums, as well as violin, keys, bass, ukulele, sekere, flute, and three-part vocal harmonies. Audiences are transfixed by our energy, unique instrumentation, and the beautiful power of being a badass group of all women claiming our space in the music industry.  Compared to Rising Appalachia, The Wailin’ Jennys, Ani Difranco, and Dominique Fils-Aimé, mud & marrow offers up genre-defying, all original songwriting that gets the audience both dancing and reflecting.

Performing across the Denver Metro and front range, mud & marrow has played the Denver Botanic Gardens, Georgetown Mountain Jams, Roxy on Broadway, Manos Sagrados, International Women's Day Festival in downtown Denver, Earth Day Festival in Boulder, and many more, including a monthly residency at the African Grill & Bar.
