Quemando Salsa Band
The Quemando Salsa Band is a 14 piece Salsa Band based out of Boulder Colorado and has been " Salsifying " the Colorado scene since 2005.
This energetic band has performed as a headliner at the Vail Jazz festival, A Taste if Colorado, Cherry Creek Arts Festival, Denver Jazz Festival, Bands on the Bricks, Niwot Jazz Festival, Live at the Grapevines in Palisade Colorado and many more.
In addition the Quemando Salsa Band has built a large following of Salsa dancers and music fans in Boulder and regularly performs the iconic Happy Hour at the St Julien Hotel in Boulder Colorado, which this Band performed the first happy hour 20 years ago.
The Quemando Salsa Band also performs regularly at the Nissis event center in Lafayette which has been voted Best Music Venue in the Northwest by Westword magazine.
The Quemando Salsa Band has 4 albums out, including the original album " Paradise ", currently streaming on all major music platforms of which the song " Colorado Blue Sky " won first place in the Worldwide Music Contest.
In 2026 The Quemando Salsa Band has a new live album " Havana Nights ", which has been mixed and mastered at Colorados premiere recording studio " Colorado Sound " . The Quemando Salsa Band plans a series of Album releases events in 2026.
The members include Timbale player Howard Hernandez from Cuba, percussionist Leo Munoz from Mexico City, Congero Kyle Perez from Venezuela, Drum kit percussionist Mike Paff from Denver, lead vocalist Norma Schneider from Acapulco Mexico, Lead vocalist Veronica Prospero from Florida, lead vocalist Robbin Jerri from Peru, Alto Saxophonist Rick Demey from Boulder Colorado, Tenor Saxophonist Kurt Moorehead from Durango Colorado, Trumpet player Eric Schneider from Grand Junction Colorado, and Trombonist Tommy Vandenberger from Denver Colorado.
