Gritch

Gritch is an indie/electro-pop band from Denver, Colorado, known for their infectious melodies, cinematic soundscapes, and emotionally charged storytelling. Formed in 2006, Gritch quickly drew attention with their debut album "The World Was Asleep…", a record that resonated across the college music scene and earned them features on MTV shows like "The Real World", "Road Rules Challenge", "True Life", and more.

Their momentum continued with the "Sunday Morning Train EP" (2009) and full-length album "Arrivals & Departures" (2010), both showcasing the band’s ability to blend shimmering synth textures with introspective lyricism.

After years of performances around Denver, Gritch went on hiatus in 2014 when frontman Christian Atencio relocated to Seattle. Eight years later, in 2022, with Atencio returning to Colorado, the band reignited their spark by returning with fresh creative energy and releasing a remix of their 2008 track “Distance,” signaling a bold new chapter.

Between 2023 and 2024, Gritch re-established their live presence with a string of shows around the Denver metro area, delighting fans with a mix of new material, crowd favorites, and a reimagined take on Tears for Fears’ "Everybody Wants to Rule the World".

In 2025, Gritch released "Home", their first original single in over 15 years, earning spins on indie stations like Indie 102.3. The band continues their resurgence with "In The Meantime 2025", released on November 7th, a nostalgic yet forward-looking anthem marking their evolution and enduring creative pulse.
