Addie Tonic

Addie Tonic is an alterna-rock band formed in Denver, CO featuring dynamic front woman Meghann5k (Vocals, Guitar), Matt Youngblood (Lead Guitar, Vocals), Dylan Tilton (Bass), and Dennis Valencia (Drums). Addie Tonic’s catchy songs are driven by Meghann5k’s pop-fueled lyrics and Matt’s rock-inspired guitar licks, building garage rock/shoegaze like walls of sound with a punk rock edge.

In September 2022, Meghann5k was diagnosed with breast cancer. During Meghann5k's cancer treatment, Addie Tonic recorded a new and critically acclaimed EP titled "Alive" with Todd Divel of Silo Sound Recording Studio in which most of Meghann5k's vocal tracks were recorded while she was going through chemotherapy. Addie Tonic's determination and courage was rewarded with a nomination by 105.5 The Colorado Sound Music Awards as a finalist in the “On the Rise” category and the song “Brutal” charted in the top 5 on 105.5 The Colorado Sound for 5 months. Addie Tonic's third EP titled “Alive” released in October 2023.

Addie Tonic's debut EP, “Crashin’ Cars & Fannin’ Flames” released in 2021. In December 2021, a cover of the Veruca Salt song “Seether” was dropped which quickly ignited attention and got “Seether” on local radio station Indie 102.3’s segment “Cover with Your Coffee.” In February 2022, Addie Tonic was listed in 303 Magazine’s “Colorado Music You Should Know” featuring the song “Iodine” and in May 2022, Addie Tonic was selected to be one of Indie 102.3’s featured local 303 artists. This opportunity gave them radio play twice a day for the month of May featuring both “Seether” and “Iodine” and landed them at number 12 on the Colorado Sound’s top 30 playlist for radio play in May 2022. Addie Tonic then released their second EP titled “Don't Ya Know Me.”

In addition to the state of Colorado, Addie Tonic has toured semi-nationally including Montana, Minnesota, Georgia, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas and plan to do more touring in the future. They have shared bills with successful local acts CITRA and Wildermiss, as well as national acts such as Nikki Lane, Corey Feldman, The Unlikely Candidates, Jerry Joseph and the Jackmormons, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and JoJo Hermann’s (Widespread Panic) side project, Slim Wednesday.
