Animal Farm

Animal Farm is your family's next favorite band! Led by "Farmer Dave" Ladon, their award-winning catalog of original music explores themes of social and emotional learning, community, self-expression, and the environment. With genre-hopping songwriting and dynamic musicality, their sound has been most succinctly described as “grownup music for kids.” Additionally, the band produces, Farmer Dave and Friends a series of digital shorts produced in partnership with PBS12.

Blending music, educational comedy, and audience participation, Farmer Dave and Animal Farm have shared high energy performances with tens of thousands of children and families at parks, libraries, schools, birthday parties, festivals, museums and other cultural institutions across Colorado and beyond. Their 2025 festival and community stage highlights include Rocky Mountain PBS Kids Fest, Sheridan Celebrates, Jamming on the Jetty (Sloan’s Lake), Music at the Movies (Aurora), Boulder’s Tulip Fairy and Elf Festival, Douglas County Fair, the Northwest Aurora Food Justice Festival, and more.

In addition to earning awards and press for their original recordings, Farmer Dave was voted Family Favorite Party Entertainer in Colorado Parent Magazine (2023 winner, 2024 runner-up), and will be featured at the 2025 Colorado Matters Holiday Extravaganza on Colorado Public Radio.
