the Lollygags
Six years. That's how long the Denver and the front range has been missing a decent dose of unpretentious power-pop fury. Thankfully, the wait is over. The Lollygags are officially ending their hiatus, and they aren't slacking on the return.
This comeback is not just a nostalgic wave; it's a full relaunch. To mark their return, the band is dropping the three-song EP, 'Old, New, Borrowed II.' True to the title, this three-song collection is a concise statement of where the band has been and where they are headed, featuring a freshly re-recorded older track (Into Thin Air), a brand-new original (A Cautionary Tale), and a tastefully chosen cover song.
Since the band’s formation, by songwriter and Denver native Jon Jonathan, the Lollygags’ mission has been simple: to craft addictive melodies and classic rock riffs served up with a punk attitude. Maybe like the Kinks had they come of age in the early 1990s, or Cheap Trick in a fight with Husker Du? Whoever you think they sound like the Lollygags brand of rock n roll has many influences but never sounds too much like any one band.
‘Old New Borrowed II’ available on all streaming platforms now. The Lollygags plan on making their return to performing live in 2026 and are already working on more new music they hope to share soon.
So quit your dilly dallying and pay attention! The Lollygags are back!
