Riverside Occurrence
Riverside Occurrence is an Americana/Folk/Bluegrass band that blends heartfelt originals with timeless covers from iconic artists like John Prine, The Band, Willie Nelson, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Gillian Welch. Known for their tight three-part harmonies and bluegrass instrumentation, they transform even the most familiar covers into fresh, unforgettable tunes.
The band was formed in 2010 in Iowa, with founding members Eli Kilburg (guitar), Forest Hoff (mandolin, harmonica), and Ella Bowers (violin/fiddle), and in recent years added Jay Bowers (banjo) and Coban Rudish (bass).
They’ve drawn crowds to venues such as Avogadro's Number, Mugs, Horsetooth Tavern, various breweries, and small festivals like Cabin Concerts in Iowa and Toe Jam and Jamaland in Colorado. The band has also played several intimate shows at the Cloverlick Banjo Shop in Fort Collins. In 2024, they had the honor of opening for Willie Watson at The Coast in Fort Collins, further solidifying their reputation as an emerging act in the Americana scene.
