The Runners

Hi,
My name is Jeff Barrett and wanted to introduce myself and my cover band The Runner's to express interest in FoCoMX festival in downtown Fort Collins.

We are a five piece cover band based out of Colorado Springs, playing all types of music and genres from the 70's to the 2020's. Music from the Monkees, Tom Petty, Morgan Wallen, Shaboozey, Blink 182, Foo Fighters, Bryan Adams, Journey, Bon Jovi, John Cougar, Chris Stapleton and many, many more. Our 1-2 punch on vocals with frontman/guitarist Jonathan Newey, 20 yrs of experience and vocalist/guitarist Jake Oakey, 18 years of experience bring a dynamic rarely seen in cover bands today. You throw in their harmonies and you have a powerful 1-2 punch on the microphone. It doesn't stop with those two, bass guitarist Dominic Albo brings over 10 yrs of experience and touring experience ealy on in his career, a true innovator on his instrument. Drummer and time keeper John Barrett, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the band. John has worked alongside local drummers such as Dewey Steele of the highly popular Sofa Killers. My contribution is with the keyboards and guitar, it adds another layer to the band's sound and lets us cover a variety of music, making us very versatile.

The Runners have played all over the Colorado Springs/Pueblo area and are eagerly looking to expand further north. We have played summer outdoor concert series (Wolf Ranch, First and Main, Briarfest and The ViewHouse, The Pueblo Riverwalk-4th of July celebration) breweries (Red Leg, JAK'S Brewing Company) bars (Palmer Lake Pub, Good Company, The Purple Toad and Back East), private weddings (Black Forest, Switchback Stadium, Skyway), cooperation events (Common Spirit Christmas Party, Gold Hill Mesa Christmas Party) and so much more in recent years.

These videos are just a small portion of what the Runners Band could bring to FoCoMX festival. When we need to go bigger especially for our outdoor events, we bring in our sound man Eric Du Toit (Salt Creek Integrated), his company and innovative state of the art dynamics adds another layer to the band.
