Eric Roberts
Eric Roberts is a professional guitarist and bassist, specializing in Jazz, Brazilian, New Age, and Classical guitar styles, as well as all music styles on electric and fretless bass.
He has performed as bassist with such notable entertainers as Chuck Berry, Peter Noone of the Herman’s Hermits, Chubby Checker, Bobby Rydell, The Drifters, The Marvelettes, The Smothers Brothers, Anthony Newley, Chita Rivera, Maureen McGovern, Bob Hope, Phyllis Diller, Joan Rivers Pete Barbuti and more.
As a guitarist, he performs solo as well as with tracks, and as part of a guitar/flute duo. His own original music encompasses a variety of musical influences, from Paul Winter and David Darling to Ralph Towner, Eberhard Weber and Pat Metheny as well as the music of Brazil. His own unique sound comes from a melding of instruments, including classical guitar, fretless bass and guitar synthesizer.
His CD’s include “In a Silent Place”, featuring grammy winning cellist David Darling, and ‘My Brazilian Heart”, featuring grammy winning new age composer Paul Avgerinos.
