Bugs Frogs & Snakes

Bugs Frogs & Snakes is a genre-bending indie group carving out their own pastel-colored corner of the underground. Drawing equal influence from the sentimentality and playful textures of Shibuya-Kei (Cymbals, Advantage Lucy) and the cathartic, heart-on-sleeve intensity of Midwest Emo (Snowing, Oliver Houston), the band filters both worlds into a sound they lovingly call “Twee-Prog”, a blend of bright pop sensibility, knotty arrangements, and emotional maximalism.

Formed in the Northern Colorado in late 2023 the band is now weaving their way into Colorado’s music scene, the group brings together five musicians with eclectic backgrounds and complementary instincts: Nat Stiles (guitar & vocals), Sid Erin (vocals), Erik Zylstra (drums), Fern Eads (bass), and Matan Birnbaum (keys & producer). Their live shows move between shimmering vocal harmonies, angular guitar lines, and rhythmic bursts that feel both nostalgic and forward-looking.

In April 2025, Bugs Frogs & Snakes released their debut album You Did It!, a record that embraces sincerity, experimentation, and the awkward joy of feeling things loudly. Since its release, the band has been building a reputation for vibrant, emotionally honest performances and a sound that’s as catchy as it is unusual.
