Mile Phase

Mile Phase are an indie acoustic trio formed in Laporte, Colorado in the early 2020s. Adam McBride and Phil Rust met when Adam moved in right across the street from Phil a decade ago, and it was only a matter of time before the two music scene veterans formed a band together.  Their first project, an indie rock band called Post Rd, formed right as the coronavirus had much different plans for all of us.  When that band unfortunately fell apart in 2023, Adam and Phil kept writing and playing in Phil’s garage and local open mics. In the Fall of 2023, Adam and Phil met Shelby Grosboll at a local theatre production that they were all performing in.  The addition of Shelby, a professional trained singer and performer and a theatre scene veteran in her own rite, elevated the neighbor dad’s garage folk project to a whole new level.  

Mile Phase strives to create music that is original and authentic. Their vibe is occasionally auspicious and hopeful, but their songs are more often on the wistful side. It’s fair to say that this side of the band’s sound is inspired by current events and common sentiment in the local population. Without becoming too topical or preachy, Mild Phase isn’t afraid to address what’s going on in the country and the world with their music.
