Rookie Dive

Raised on a steady diet of pizza, longboarding, video games, and punk music, Rookie Dive started in a the garage as four awkward high schoolers. Fifteen years and multiple cross-country moves later, Rookie Dive returned to the garage, ready to make music once again. Rookie Dive revitalizes the pop-punk genre by returning to the roots of early-2000s pop punk. Their upbeat, catchy, and melodic-driven sound is inspired by the riffs and melodies of Green Day, Sum 41, Blink-182, and Simple Plan, infusing the archetypically sophomoric themes with their own experiences of maturing together. While growing out of some of the more immature themes associated with the genre, they maintain a playful spirit and bright attitude, refusing to be drudged down by the doldrums of adulthood. Blazing guitar riffs, energetic drums, and driving basslines build the foundation for a group of friends to sing about life, love, and the wonder still to be found in the quotidian.
