PRO AUDIO is nerd rock—mixing the spacey, heartfelt distortion of Grandaddy, the cerebral cleverness of They Might Be Giants, and the punchy nostalgia of Weezer.

Formed in 2001 by frontmen John and Jason, PRO AUDIO had a debut gig scheduled for 9/11. 

It was re-scheduled. 

Then, after years of pouring heart and soul into live gigs and two independently produced albums, Jason turned his back on music. Since then, John, like Gregg Allman dedicated to carrying a band forward after the death of idolized brother Duane, has continued playing (and refining) Jason’s comedic songs alongside his own more crunching, geeky material. 

Re-booted lineup includes John on bass and vocals, Kate Janzen on keyboards and backup vocals, and John's son Phoenix on drums.

New album "Nerd Rock from a Distant Future" is dropping in early 2026.
