James Reed

James Reed is a local musician raised in Fort Collins Colorado. He has been writing music for over a decade and grew up playing local coffee shops, gigs, and venues around the Northern Colorado area. From 2018 to 2020, James  attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music studying songwriting, music theory, harmony, ear training, recording, and jazz guitar. 

James has played venues such as Hard Rock Cafe Boston, New Belgium Brewing, CSU Moby Arena, New West Fest as a featured artist, the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, Paddler's Pub, Magic Rat Cafe, Avogadros Number, as well as various other coffee shops, bars, and open mics in the Fort Collins area.

With a setlist of over 35 original songs, James Reed draws inspiration from John Mayer, Jack Johnson, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Killers, Dominic Fike, Tom Petty, Jason Mraz, the Beatles and more. His introspective lyrics and catchy progression float the line between pop, rock, and folksy singer-songwriter sound. 

Since his return to Colorado in 2022, James has released two studio albums on streaming platforms such as Spotify and plans to release his third studio album in 2026.
