Aaron Summerfield is a guitarist, composer, and bandleader whose work blends modern jazz, improvisation, and contemporary spiritual themes. An active performer with national touring experience, he has appeared in club, concert, and festival settings and collaborates regularly with ensembles including the Tyler Farr Quartet and Big Brooklyn. A former Westword Music Awards Best Jazz Artist nominee, Summerfield’s recent project Summer Circle explores ritual and seasonality through what he calls “pagan jazz”—an immersive, ensemble-driven approach balancing structure, spontaneity, and deep collective listening.
