Sofia Young

Sofia Young is a singer/songwriter who weaves powerful vocals and thoughtful lyrics into soulful pop tapestries. She has been vocally training and songwriting since she was twelve years old. Now, at twenty-three, she has spread her wings and built her performance resume in Denver, Colorado. Sofia loves to perform solo by accompanying herself with a piano, but there is no energy like performing with her band, The Curls. She writes and performs music about global and community pressures while also showcasing songs that come from her personal experiences. Her current repertoire includes exploring the empowerment of women, political anxiety and activation, commentary on the passage of time, and those based on her navigation of interpersonal relationships. These themes illustrate a clear goal for connection and community built by her music and the hope for listeners to feel understood in their own stories.
