Julie Koenig

Julie Koenig is an accomplished multi-genre vocalist, pianist and songwriter located in Fort Collins, CO. Since completing her M.M. in Jazz Studies at the University of Northern Colorado, Julie has established an active musical presence in the Denver and Front Range areas. She performs regularly as a solo artist and with her band, the Thistle Tones; notable venues include Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club, Dazzle, The Crown Pub, Wolverine Farm and 477 Distilling.

Julie draws inspiration from the traditions of jazz and blues (Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone), singer-songwriters (Carole King, Joni Mitchell), and a wide variety of rock, pop and soul artists. Her self-released EP, Intruder (2024) features introspective songs in multiple styles; her first album, Renaissance Woman (2021), features both straight-ahead jazz and original songs.

Julie is passionate about approaching her music with vulnerability, honesty and soul.
