The Etiquettes

From fuzzed-out head bangers to retro indie pop songs, The Etiquettes cover a lot of sonic ground with their impassioned sound.
The band recently appeared on PBS’s “Sounds On 29th,” which included a live performance of the band and interview of singer/songwriter, Nick Barth. The show aired multiple times in the broadcast area of PBS12 in Colorado and was celebrated by a packed-out watch party at the Squire Lounge, in Denver, CO.
In June of 2024, the band released their first full-length album, titled “Table Manners.” The 10-song album features hot-blooded rippers like “Baby Teeth,” “Keep Your Boots On” and “Harmony Act,” as well as mellow grooves like “Love Will Turn You ‘Round Again” and “Underneath Mysterious Lights.” The album was met with much acclaim and fostered in a surge of new shows in the Denver area at venues like Hi-dive and Lost Lake.
The band has been hard at work writing new tracks and performing all over the Colorado music scene, refining the new material and getting ready for a series of double releases in 2026.
The band consists of two brothers, Nick and Alex Barth, who after growing up playing music together in Michigan, went their own ways only to reconnect later in Denver. They formed an early iteration of the band and while playing in a local Denver club, they were booked with another area band featuring drummer, James Diana. After watching each other’s sets the three decided to work together on a new project.
They started playing together in the Fall of 2019 and quickly discovered a great musical chemistry and a passion for live performances. Developing their sound to blend with Nick’s unique songwriting, they found a knack for creating high-energy, catchy, original rock songs that blend influences from a number of styles.
The trio started gaining ground in the Denver music scene with performances at venues like Seventh Circle, Globe Hall and Lions’ Lair and began working on recording an early collection of songs. As with many though, the band's plans became uprooted during the covid lockdown era. Although, production of their first EP continued. After releasing the six-song EP and with music venues opening back up, the band decided it was time for a fresh start.
In the Summer of 2022, the release of a brand new, two-song double marked the beginning of a new chapter for the group as “The Etiquettes” and a step forward in their songwriting as the band embraced a more modern and refined sound. Thereafter, The Etiquettes hit the ground running, performing up and down the front range of Colorado, including a spot at the Lafayette Music Fest and, most recently, a sold-out performance at the first annual Colfax Carousal in Denver, CO.
