Music at Sunrise (The States Duo)

Martin and Janie met at a music jam session 20 years ago and soon married. They dedicated their marriage to Peace, Love, and Social Justice. For all those years they have written songs that related to their strong message of forming community through singing and having fun. They each brought favorite songs to the mix they use today. For over 10 years they have lived in Laporte, Colorado and have played in the Fort Collins area while also traveling to and from varied regular venues in Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and New York State. Recently they have been jamming a bit with Jared Janzen, another local Fort Collins musician.  They would like to present some sets of original music and cover songs that have a strong message of community, music, and resistance. We're hoping that FOCOMX will like to have us perform at one of their venues. 

Recently Janie and Martin played their originals and a few covers for the opening of one of the local (Fort Collins) No Kings rallies and are strong on the message of freedom for all people.
