Rich Fordham
Fort Collin's Rich Fordham is a multi-instrumentalist from Ohio whose sound is shaped by deep Appalachian roots and an adventurous, exploratory spirit. Drawing from the rhythmic storytelling of traditional mountain music, Fordham blends electric textures with 12-string, synth-guitar, banjo, and slide guitar, into performances that feel both grounded and expansive.
Influenced by the loop-driven freedom of Keller Williams, the raw experimentation of Sonic Youth, and the melodic grit of British guitar players, his music moves fluidly between tradition and innovation. Layered grooves, open-tuned guitars, and hypnotic repetition form the backbone of a sound that’s as introspective as it is kinetic.
Previously, Fordham played banjo and slide guitar with Fort Collins–based outfit Prester John, helping shape the band’s organic, roots-forward sound. Now focused on his own evolving musical path, Rich Fordham continues to explore the spaces where Appalachian heritage, modern looping, and electric edge collide.
