Erases Eraser

Erases Eraser is an experimental electronic artist and visual artist from Denver, Colorado.  Born in Des Moines, Iowa, Tanner Babcock has been composing and producing music since 2014.  They are a founding member of the bands Tantrum Throwers (2015-2017) and Culture Chester (2014-2015).  They frequently work and perform with their partner, Kristin Critical.

The genre and musical style of Erases Eraser is hard to define, but their music has often been described as industrial, sound collage, synth-pop, glitch, experimental, noise, dark ambient, IDM, experimental hip-hop, and instrumental hip-hop.  The vocalizations are a combination of spoken word, singing, and rapping.  Erases Eraser is known for their musical output: In the past 11 years, they have released numerous albums and EPs with various independent record labels (including 5cm Recordings, Centipede Farm, Grumpy Records, and their own vanity label Records Recordings).  Most of their albums feature collaborations with one or more of their friends: Henry Knollenberg, Huxley Madeline, Jonah Thompson, and Adnan Omeragic frequently appear in the credits.

Erases Eraser live shows are simple - only consisting of pre-recorded music from a laptop played with live vocals from the self-described "E Man".  But despite this, they are loud, physically engaging, intense, and illuminating, with lots of improvisation and audience interactions.

Tanner Babcock maintains and updates their own website, TannerBabcock.com, which they designed and developed themselves.  They also make YouTube videos about GNU/Linux and other programming topics.
