Ryan Dart
After dealing with a crumbling marriage and going through a divorce, Ryan is back in the studio working on his most recent batch of songs. He has been digging deeper into the emotional landscape and his songwriting has evolved into an even more honest place than previous albums. Even though this upcoming "Divorce Album" will have some songs dealing with suicide and heartbreak there is a surprising number of more upbeat Love Songs. New songs like
"Time Stands Still For Love", "Dirt Road Woman", and "If Love Don't Break You" have received with much excitement upon their live debut. "Hard to Let Go" sounds like a Gregory Alan Isakov track and "This Is How It Ends" deals with the reality of suicide through several different viewpoints. This new album can be expected in 2025 with support from an All Star list of Colorado musicians.
(Old bio from last release:
World traveling grandson of the dustbowl harvesting songs and making musicial medicine from heartbreak, inspiration, and farm work in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains of Northern Colorado. Ryan's upcoming album, "On The Edge Of The Wild" finds him drifting between modern rhythms, red dirt simplicity, and the wisdom gained from years on the road. This will be Ryan's fifth solo release and is his strongest offering to date leaning more towards rock than "Grow Toward The Light" (his 2021 release). It features Colorado's own Daniel Sproul (Rose Hill Drive, Hard Working Americans, Ryan Bingham) and Nate Barnes (Rose Hill Drive, Rodney Crowell, Ryan Bingham) and was partially recorded in a cabin up the Poudre Canyon during the flood in July 2021.
