Shake Me // Wake Me emerged from the depths of unfinished basements and half empty garages, where the echoes of mid life crisis harmonize with the buzz of power tools in incapable hands. They have turned suburban melancholy into something productive, blending raw vulnerability and jangly guitar riffs with lyrics steeped in existential dread. 

“O this restless race we’re in, and I don't know why I keep running.”

Front man Bob Shipton is a divorced father of two teenage boys.  He has turned his grief and knack for overthinking into songs that reflect the quiet struggles of the western man. The lyrical content captures the bittersweet symphony of balancing family life, keeping kids off his lawn and dreams deferred but never forgotten.

Guitarist Tom Vincent weaves intricate melodies over drummer Spoonie Frye's steady reliable beats.  Bassist Jack Nanney anchors the band with a groove as deep as his regret over selling his first car.  Together they craft a sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly honest, blending influences from 90s alt rock with a touch of folk sentimentality.
