The Syrup
The Syrup is a high energy band that brings positive soulful vibrations to all their performances, seamlessly blending many different genres, including Reggae, Soul, Hip-Hop, and R&B.
Formed in 2020 by Michael B Wright with a passion to play music, his songs come straight from the soul. Driven by a passion to play music, you can likely find him busking on the corner of College and Oak in front of the Peacock's Perch on any given sunny day. Growing up in Georgia, B-Wright brings that southern influence along with hearty helpings of positivity and soul to all of his music, influenced by many different styles of artists including Citizen Cope, Andre 3000, and The Wailers.
The Syrup’s latest musical release from September 2025 is a live album recorded at The Aggie Theater where they opened for the legendary John Brown’s Body, available only on Bandcamp. Their single, "Burn 'em If You Got 'em" was released in summer of 2023 and their first 3 song EP "Work It Out" was released in 2022, available on all streaming platforms.
Along with a strong rhythm section of drum and bass held down by Rob Otto and Josh Inouye, Andy Kromarek fires laser beams on lead guitar, John Jackson holds down the melodies on trumpet while Michael Hayden brings the warm rhythms on guitar to round out The Syrup's unique sound. The Syrup is working on releasing their next Single "Travel In" being recorded at Moredoor Studio in Fort Collins.
