Declan Kennedy
Declan Kennedy is a 23-year-old singer songwriter born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, currently based in Nashville, TN. He grew up playing piano and guitar, and began writing original songs at age 14. His songs and styles cover a multitude of genres, from political folk-punk anthems to ambient, intimate love songs. The constant of his music, though, is his honesty and passion. His self-produced albums "If I Only Had No Heart" and "Guilty as Anybody" are currently available on all streaming platforms. Declan attended Belmont University in Nashville, TN, earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in Audio Engineering Technology and Mathematics. His love for music has been largely influenced by his parents, both of whom are singers, creators, and fans of John Prine. His musical inspirations also include Conor Oberst, Elliott Smith, Blake Mills, Sufjan Stevens, and Big Thief.
