Eric Lawrence North

Eric Lawrence North is a singer, guitarist, and producer based in Fort Collins, Colorado. His sound uniquely blends americana, indie rock, and electronic music. 

Before moving to Colorado in February of 2020, North cut his teeth performing rowdy rock n' roll in Atlanta, GA as frontman and guitarist of the band Momcat.
 In 2021, North laid down the electric guitar in favor of an acoustic sound for his lo-fi americana project, “elemental”. The EP included narrative, emotive storytelling backed by moody, intricate, finger-style guitars. These tracks included unplugged versions of songs from prior projects and brand new songs. North self-released “elemental” to all major streaming services in October 2021. 

In October of 2022, North released another self-produced record, “Becoming”, an 8-track collection of deeply personal songs, many of which tell the story of North’s departure from the religious beliefs of his upbringing, and finding new joy and identity in the simple pleasures of family and the outdoors. Sonically, “Becoming” brought together North’s various musical interests, seamlessly weaving folk music together with indie rock, and sprinkled with electronic drum loops and synth samples. North’s energetic live performances most often find him singing solo over looped acoustic guitars.
